Added comfort - with a dash of style
Gabriels is a charming period house in a quiet village in the south-west corner of Somerset close to the Dorset and Devon borders.
Farmhouse kitchen, local produce, home-baked bread, and variety of breakfast choice. Informal, friendly atmosphere; use of large drawing room and run of the garden, which is secluded and full of interest.

Stylish bedrooms, each with en suite tiled bathroom.
Extra touches include fresh flowers, fresh fruit, fresh milk with your early-morning tea or coffee, a range of books and magazines, and lotions & potions in the bathroom.
Breakfast can range from the “full English” , via kippers or kedgeree to healthy fruit and yoghurts, with home-baked bread and preserves.
Tea and home-made cake are offered to guests arriving between 3:30 and 4:30.
A simple three-course supper is available on request; or we will drive you to and from one of the many gastro-pubs and restaurants in the area.

Forde Abbey is less than a mile away, as is the Cricket St Thomas estate and its Wild Life Park and Leisure Centre. Surrounding golf courses include Lyme Regis, Bridport and Windwhistle.
Winsham gives easy access to the World Heritage West Dorset coast (Lyme Regis 12 miles) and East Devon. Pilsdon Hill, Golden Cap and the Blackdown Hills are all within easy reach. Four long-distance walks pass nearby. Local National Trust gems include Montacute House and Barrington Court. Among Somerset’s interesting nearby gardens are Lower Severalls and Hestercombe.
